A tardy is defined as any student not in their seat in their classroom when the tardy bell rings. Unexcused absences and tardies will result in reduced participation points for that class. In addition, the following consequences will apply for each class period per quarter:
5 Tardies – parent/guardian contact by teacher
10 Tardies – referral to counselor by teacher
15 Tardies – referral to administrator by teacher. Detention, Saturday School, or In-House Suspension
20 Tardies – referral to administrator by teacher. Saturday School, In-House, or Suspension
Passes
All students out of class must possess a colored hall pass or a TA pass from school personnel. No passes will be issued in the first 10 minutes or the last 10 minutes of a class period. Campus supervisors are authorized to detain any student found outside of class without a hall pass. Students in violation of this policy will be subject to disciplinary action.
Any student who arrives to school after 9 AM must get a pass from the Attendance Window.
Students roaming the halls without a pass after the late bell will be picked up by a CST or administrator to spend the remainder of the period in In-House suspension. Additional consequences may be assigned.
